Born in Los Angeles and raised in Alliance, Ohio, MistaRogers makes independent hip-hop under MoneyHungry. His music draws on hip-hop and R&B, with writing shaped by adversity, ambition and independence. After relocating to California, he continued developing his independent recording career. MoneyHungry reflects his belief in pursuing an ambition, not simply accumulating money. The first Dying to Live was released on physical CD in 2008, according to the artist team. Recordings from February 2011 remain on his original YouTube channel. The DJ Drama-hosted Dying to Live followed in 2015. Expensive Taste arrived in 2016, followed by further singles and collaborations. Across the catalog, his collaborators include Jadakiss, Rich The Kid, Tory Lanez, Ty Dolla $ign, E-40 and Stalley, with production from TM88 and P-Lo. The releases, videos, interviews and original press collected here trace that work.
